Unfortunately, not all sections of the walk can be open to the public due to road safety considerations. However, everyone is welcome to join the designated public walking sections.
No. Accommodation is not provided. Participants will need to arrange their own accommodation for the duration of the walk.
Yes, we recommend all participants register in advance for planning and safety purposes. Some walks may also require on-site check-in on the day.
No. You’re welcome to join for as much or as little as you like. Each day offers entry and exit points, with information about walking difficulty and distances provided. If you choose to stop walking at any point, you’ll need to organise your own transport from that location.
Transport is not provided as part of the walk. Participants are responsible for their own transport arrangements, though we encourage carpooling or public transport where possible.
Most walks are on formed paths or roads, but some sections involve uneven ground, walking trails, parklands or moderate inclines. Accessibility details are provided per day. Let us know in advance if you have specific access needs.
Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing (e.g. raincoat, hat), a water bottle, snacks, and sun protection.
Some locations will have refreshments or community events with food options, but walkers should bring their own water and snacks for the journey.
Yes. Children are welcome with a responsible adult. Please ensure they are prepared for the distance and conditions.
Pets are generally discouraged due to the cultural and ceremonial nature of the event, as well as potential restrictions on some reserves and public spaces.
The walk will proceed in most weather conditions, but major weather warnings may lead to adjustments or cancellations. Check our official channels for updates.
Yes. This is a culturally significant walk. Please follow the guidance of Traditional Owners and event leaders, particularly during Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremonies, and at historical and/or significant sites.
